Privacy Policy
Privacy at HashStrike is short because we collect very little. Renting hashrate requires no account, no name, and no email — your BTC address is your identity, your invoice is your receipt, and your order lookup link is your key. This page explains exactly what we do collect and why.

HashStrike is operated by Mining Hardware Limited, the company behind Mineshop.eu. We act as the data controller for hashstrike.mineshop.eu. Questions about this policy or your data: hashstrike@mineshop.eu.
02The short version
- No account: no name, no email, no password is required to rent hashrate.
- We see your BTC payout/lookup address, your order configuration, and rig telemetry — that's mostly it.
- Payments run through BTCPay Server; card and bank details never touch our systems because we don't offer card or bank payment.
- Bitcoin transactions are public on-chain — that's the protocol, not our choice.
- We keep order and ledger records as long as accounting law requires, and not much beyond that.

04What we never ask for
No name, phone number, or ID for standard rentals. No card or bank details — we couldn't take them even if we wanted to, because we only accept BTC on-chain. There are no customer passwords to leak, because buyers don't log in. Optional accounts exist for marketplace sellers only, and those store an email address and payout address.
05Why we process it (legal bases)
- Performance of a contract — delivering the hashrate you rented, proving it, and issuing Strike Credit when we fall short (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Legitimate interests — securing the service, preventing fraud and abuse, keeping technical logs (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Legal obligations — retaining accounting and transaction records as required by law (Art. 6(1)(c)).
06Public by design
Two things are visible outside our systems by the nature of Bitcoin and mining:
- On-chain payments are public. A BTC payment links your wallet address to the invoice amount on a public blockchain, permanently.
- Telemetry can be public. Worker names and live hashrate of rented rigs may be visible on public pool pages and on your order tracking link. Choose a worker name you're comfortable publishing — don't put personal information in it.
07Payments
Invoices are generated by our self-hosted BTCPay Server instance. Payment goes directly on-chain to our address; we store only the invoice ID, amount, and payment status for reconciliation. We never see your wallet, your keys, or any payment credential.
08Third-party processors
- Hosting providers — our infrastructure and this site run on managed servers that process logs and backups on our behalf.
- BTCPay Server — self-hosted by us; no third-party payment processor is involved.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic analytics. Google may process IP and device data under its own terms; you can block it with any browser extension or ad blocker.
- Braiins Pool / NiceHash — when a marketplace rental is fulfilled through a hashrate-provider order, the worker configuration needed for delivery is shared with that provider for the duration of the rental.
- Accounting and audit tools — as required to meet our legal record-keeping duties.
09How long we keep it
Order, ledger, and invoice records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Telemetry samples are kept with their order. Security logs are kept for short windows and then deleted. Support correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your case.
10Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you can complain to your local data-protection authority. One practical note: orders are pseudonymous — if you don't tell us which order or BTC address is yours, we have no way to identify you (which is rather the point). Include your order ID or lookup address when writing to hashstrike@mineshop.eu so we can actually help.
11Cookies
We use essential session storage for seller accounts and fraud prevention, and GA4 analytics cookies. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling, no social-media pixels.
12Security
TLS everywhere, credential storage kept to the minimum, and very little data worth stealing. No system is perfect — if an incident ever affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
13Changes
If we change this policy, the new version is posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes that affect existing orders will be announced on the site.
